Danny,
First of all, thank you so much for taking time to visit us and share, taking time from your busy schedule. I have a question, I have my own answers, but always looking to see what others are doing. I'm always looking to improve. As magicians, we often times have to wear multiple hats until we make it big enough to hire help. Sometimes that just doesn't happen for various reasons. But during those initial days, just starting out, what software do you consider critical in your systems for organizing, managing, and operating your business? And what do you use as a successful businessman? Thanks. Steven

Wow. Didn't expect this question, but it's really a good one.
ACT! for Contact management. Works well on PCs, but not on Mac Quickbooks for accounting. MS Word A website that you are able to edit by yourself MS Publisher -- it's a poor man's photoshop/adobe illustrator. I use this to create the signs I use for trade shows. Outlook for Email PowerPOint (occasionally) I also use www.fiverr.com to by cheap services such as photoshop and transcribing services for really really cheap. Amazing what people will do for $5. Check it out. |

Thanks for your response Danny. As expected I got a good idea... fiverr looks great! So do you do trade shows for $5? LOL Just to return the favor I use Dragonsoft Naturally Speaking to transcribe my presentations. Takes a bit of editing when you're done, but so much faster than typing it by hand.
