Can someone please tell me if the sleight of hand cream is good or not? I think I might buy it.

I used it once. I did a double lift, a classic palm, and a tenki double shift move without even batting an eye.

THere are a lot of other products that I am sure are very similar and probably work just as well. (Of course they don’t come in nice bottles like Dan and Dave's!) To start, if you do have excessively dry hands, I'd look for Chamberlain's Golden Touch. Works for me though doesn’t last very long - maybe ten minutes. It is basically a solution of rose water and glycerin so you can by both of those at a drug store for very little and try it. Here's a list of well-known magicians who use or used lotions for dry hands: Gary Oullet - Had his own mix sold on Camirand Academy web site Ed Marlo - Used and recommended Chamberlain's Golden Touch; has it in the cover art of his book "Marlo Without Tears" Harry Lorayne - Always keeps a wet hanky next to him on stage Martin Nash - Uses SortKwik Dai Vernon - Used Chamberlain's Golden Touch Martin Lewis - Uses Chamberlain's Golden Touch Frank Garcia - Marketed his own called" Frank Garcia's Manipulation Lotion", said to be same as Chamberlain's Golden Touch David Roth - Markets his own brand of bow rosin Geoff Williams - Uses "Tacky Fingers", similar product to SortKwik Scott Guinn - Uses "Pretty Feet and Hands" followed by mixture of equal parts of rose water, glycerin and alcohol Michael Skinner - Used "Skinner's Edge Crème", made by SortKwik and originally called "Paper Crème"; carried it in his sock and used it religiously U. F. Grant - Sold his own Manipulation Crème, also similar to Chamberlain's Golden Touch Jim |

I'm currently using a lovely citrus scented lotion from the Eden Roc resort in Miami. Tiny bottle also easily fits in my case. I don't understand why people need these fancy lotions. I just use whatever small bottle of lotion I can grab.

I imagine it's because some work better than others, and folks will always look for the next "better" product that will last longer, be less greasy, smell less "frilly", etc.

My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".
