For a parlor type show, as part of a story line of buying/paying for things, I will sequentially and non-magically produce several bills (maybe 5). I want to put them into something that will sit in full view of the audience, and then later show that they have all disappeared.
So far I have thought of a Himber wallet, and a Strat-o-Sphere's box(for the ball vanish). I would appreciate hearing of some other options to consider. Thanks; John

I'd try Extreme Burn 2 from Richard Sanders. Show the five bills - in whatever denomination you wish - and then fold the packet of bills in half and lay it on the table. Then later pick it up, give it a quick shake, and Voila! The bills have become receipts! Or blank sheets, coupons, IOU's... whatever paper you want that matches the bills in size. Receipts - cut or scanned and resized to fit would be best IMO>

Well I don't have EB, but I could create a similar effect with Page's Easy Money. That could work, but I was hoping more for a complete vanish, like it never existed, it was all just an illusion.

Well, for a complete vanish of several bills I think you might need a Himber wallet or similar device. Maybe a pull?

John: I'd say Himber Wallet (easy and the wallet is a dark contrast against the bills - or lack thereof). This is the opposite of how Tommy Wonder handled the reappearance of the bills in his watch, ring, watch wallet routine. If it worked for Tommy . . .

If you can fold the bills in half and wrap a small band around them you can use Justin miller's "first hand". I know that it is mainly used for a change of ones to hundreds or ones to whatever, but it can also be used to simply vanish bills too. "First hand" is great. And just a side note, instead of NON- magically producing 5 ones, you can MAGICALLY produce them by asking if anyone has change of a "five", and then use Bizarro's "Bill Breaker" and wave your hand over the five and let the ones drop to the table ( or however you would do it). That is a super simple gimmick that you can do a quick lightning fast transpo to start it off.

And with "first hand" the bills can simply just sit on the table in full view the entire time.

Something that comes to mind is a prop that hasn't been invented, but wouldn't be difficult to work up. How about a Himber bank note envelope?

The magnetic Card Box by Tenyo should do the job nicely. There are other magnetic ones on the market as well.
If you want a quality product, then Viking Magic makes the Euro Card Box that will vanish your bills. http://www.vikingmagic.com/Euro%20Card%2......ame=card box |

I think I made a decision! and the winner is (drum roll)
Since this "receptacle" would be sitting out on a table the whole show as part of a running gag/call back it needed to be easily visible, it needed to be easy to drop bills into, and it needed a convincing display of the vanished state of the bills. So the smaller devices such as Himber wallets wouldn't be as convincing as they would when used in close-up, and I don't think the "vanished state" would be as convincing. The Himber envelope offered the opportunity to tear it open at the end, but a flat envelope doesn't have any "presence" during the rest of the time. The magnetic card box was the closest to how I thought the "receptacle" should look, and could give a convincing display for the "vanished state", but I don't have one to check out its functionality first hand, and I'm reluctant to make such a purchase. So although I'm still open to ideas (my show is not until next month), I think I will just dress-up a Start-o-spheres box with a big "$" sign. Although it seems so simple and more of a kid's show prop, I was surprised that it gave an impressive vanish in an adult show. John
