Well, you can be if you want...not bothered...

rather than derail the other threads, I thought I'd bore you with a mini montage of some of the things I use, not all at once mind you - that would be too much...

Yeah, one I made from a previous pre-bought pendulum that I repurposed - I spent weeks tracking down the glass locket part that I wanted...

I think it looks great. I'm a prop guy myself, we have a lot of antique dealers around here and I find them quite fun to visit when I'm in the mood for something new.

Having said that, I often enjoy watching mentalists with props. Dr Todd, a regular poster here, is a joy to watch. I just couldn't perform that way myself.

You have me there, Iain. But that is not my regular show. Just a bit of fun. The regular show has gone propless.

I enjoy mentalism with props when it is done well. In fact I love it. But in the same way as I enjoy juggling. Beautiful to watch, very clever, but not for me as a performer.

Awesome rug, bet it really ties the room together when you perform!

Dude references aside, feel transported back in time and place from the visuals, so props to your props Iain.

Love 'em Iain Smile

A couple of my regular ones ... not as fancy or as ornate.

Funny, when I do readings I do bring the props. Creepy table cloth, candles crystal ball, ceramic hand, tarot deck. Great window dressing for an intimate setting. But on stage I live the minimalist approach. Some of you guys props look great.
