I like to look in their eyes and wonder
what they were thinking and also what daily life was like. Thanks for the macabre share. This was my fave. |

Cabaret du Néant is written about in some magic books. If you look closely you will notice the Pepper's Ghost Illusion being performed.
This is a great find Chrystal!!

Glad you enjoyed it!
My favorite is the macabre doorway which sadly no longer exist as far as I know. |

Cool, thanks Chrystal.
Chateau Avenieres is another cool place in France, for tarot lovers.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

Thanks Tommy! I will have to check it out next time I go there. My mom and dad met under the Eiffel Tower when she was 16 and my dad was 19.

The best and coolest place I performed at recently was the Mission Inn, in Riverside, California. (At Erika Larsen's and Bob Self's "Beyond Brookledge.)
Check it out- the Inn, a national historical landmark, is loaded with history, underground catacombs, chapels, and all kinds of stuff. The rooms were just like Spanish haciendas. That's what I love about performing. I get to stay and perform at places I'd never be able to afford as a paying guest! http://www.missioninn.com/photo-gallery-en.html (My room was on the top floor way to the right in the first picture above, just under the dome. The lower rootop next to it is where we had a late night gala show and party.) |

General Magician, I was born in France, but my parents immigrated/emmigrated?( never remember which one is correct) to Canada when I was a kid. I have duel citizenship and thus have ties to both countries. As an adult, I wanted to live in Paris ,which I did for a while and ironically met my sweetie there (he was visiting from Holland) and he eventually moved to Canada. We plan on someday going back to Paris to live.

Paris for me is grey, dull, and dreary.
Folks rarely smile and they frown upon those of us who don't speak perfect french. I wished I had met someone like you each time that I visit, the exception for me were the folks in Nice,France. Thanks for sharing Chrys. |

Here in Georgia, we have a saying, their is the state of Georgia and then their is the state of Atlanta. Two different cultures and ways of thinking. That being said, I like Atlanta too. It's a great city. I am able to adapt quite well to both the true South and the culture in Atlanta given that I was a military brat and spent most of my childhood moving from place to place which usually had different mentalities and culture.
