I was impressed in the first 2 seconds. That's all it takes. I would not change a thing.

Great Dave>>>
It's nice of you to say what you said, (HERE COMES THE "BUT":) BUT, what you said, is the "problem" with many magicians. Those magicians "love" magic, but they let their "love" get in the way of critical thinking. Having made a living in $how Bu$ine$$ most of my life, I look at RJH's act, from THAT viewpoint. He has fine technical skil. in the "area" of magic which he has chosen to practice. He has all the energy of youth! He is a handsome lad. In short, he has most of the attributes needed to succeed. He, apparaently at least, has the good sense to ask for advice and listen! With experience, I think he can develop into a fine performer, and, should he desire, become a successful professional magician. IMO, he would be wise to consider carefully what has been said by well qualified professionals like Michael Baker, Richard Hughes, Robert Blake, and knowledgeable part time pro's,like Anatole and Bill Hegbli. I wish that my friend, the late Julius Sundman, a Finn, who wrote many magic books (in Finnish)and was a successful cabaret performer, were here to mentor this young fellow. I believe that RJH would benefit immeasurably. So, YES, let's compliment him! But, don't tell him, "I would not change a thing." He has made a good "start", and, he has great potential. He needs to grow and develop his talent, to succeed. He needs to do some "fine tuning". Jay Marshall used to say, "Once you have your act "set", you need to "edit" it. (This doesn't "happen" over night!)

Dick, thanks for all those words. I never knew that you knew Julius Sundman! His books are some of the best magic books ever written in Finnish.

I would like to congratulate RHJ as he won Junior Magic Championships in Finland with his act (all the trofees actually, best on stage, best overall and the most entertaining act prices). I really enjoyed your act and what I saw from your older ball video, you had made those changes that made your act better. Also I loved how clean your card manipulation part was. I hope you keep practicing and developing your skills and presentation because if you do, you are going far. Good work!
