First off I would like to formally introduce myself to the Café, I like many others have been a "lurker" for about a year now on the Café but only just recently found out I would be travelling with family to Vegas this year for two weeks. This gave me the push to create an account so I could ask some more experienced magicians out there if they had any suggestions for places or shows I HAD to see while in Vegas area. I can appreciate David Copperfield like shows with elaborate props and illusions but I tend to prefer close up card magic and mentalist acts. Any and all suggestions are welcomed greatly and thank you in advance for your time!
P.S I searched pretty hard for the right category to put this post in but couldn't find one, so I decided to put it here since it will be my first post hope this isn't an inconvenience. |

Well, though, not a show.. I highly recommend that you go to Gary Darwin's Magic Club (no cost) and if you're a card guy, see if you can't meet Allan Ackerman there.
Back in March, I was quite fortunate, I met Allan there.. He, Gary, a few other magicians and I headed out and had a late meal in one of the casinos and we spent the whole night playing with cards. It was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. |

Would second the Mac King show, look for 'free' tickets.
