COMMENTS : Very excited when I received this package through the post. It is exactly what it says it is in the description on the website - A complete Card Magic Course from start to finish. I didn't realise when I ordered it that you could order seperately but it does add to my sense of completeness to own the complete set!!

The beginners DVD is full of self working tricks and then each DVD progresses on adding more tricks/ effects and sleights.

As I suspected this is more of an enhancement to the many card books that are out there and is a perfect place for a beginner to start. The Expert stuff, whilst very good has nothing startling that cannot really be found in the frequently suggested books on card magic, but then that is not really a surprise.

On a plus side for myself it made me realise I am better than I thought (Or they have pitched the Expert Extreme level a bit low... hehe)

The tuition is excellent and the whole thing has a good professional edge to it, although I am not too sure about the reactions from the obvious porn star women that he is performing for, there are two of them, chosen I would think to offer him some eye candy whilst filming!! The phrase 'I will just cast a shadow over the deck' appears a few times too many .. Overall the presentation of the tricks has a little smarmy edge to it that is noticeable in a lot of these videos anyway. I have a number of DVD's and videos ranging from Jeff McBride through to Michael Ammar and this is up there with them and certainly I would recommend as THE starting point for anyone that wants to get into card magic.

If you are just starting out then I would highly recommend these, pick them up one at a time and work through, you will gain all the knowledge you need. If I was starting again I would start with the sleights and the forcing DVD to compliment a book like Royal Road to Card Magic.

If you have a bit of knowledge read through what is offered on the sleights DVD first if you can do all of them the chances are you know all the tricks on the DVD's. For me I got a few things off it and it gives an easy reference for a multitude of tricks so I am happy.

RATING : 9/10 - If he didn't cast so many shadows over his deck I would have given it 10 - Hats off to magictricks.co.uk for the free pen and pencil that came with it!!!
