I've had this a while, and it's been out of order for LONG TIME.. just got some replacement bands, and can't seem to find a way to fit them. This is a three piece .. do I use two, or three bands? I've had a search, and there is advice on the two piece versions, but nothing I can see to repair the 3 pce.

Help, anyone?

If they're the right size/strength, you should only need one band.
Fit it over the middle piece, then add the two sides pieces.

Thanks for that! The bands I have are apparently "one size fits all", from Penguin, by Roy Koeppers. I did try, using the method you advise, but the bands wouldn't hold, when folded. This may have been due to uneven tensioning, or, as you suggest, detritus in th groove.
Will persevere....
