I started adding stories into tricks, I think stories can make a trick better or worse.
Any tips/ideas/books to help this?

I enjoyed this one

Sel,

Check out www.suzmagic.com and www.pophaydn.com , two of the great storyteller magicians out there today. Both have videos of their routines on the websites.

Enjoy and learn.

One of my favorites is by a well known magician

The subject is not magic tricks.

It's called Zen and the art of monologue.

The closer I get to me the more I can connect with my audience.

That occurs even when the me character is playing a different character( s)
in my
Dr. Laugh show.

Marc DeSouza has a wonderful DVD devoted to storytelling magic.

In my opinion Paul Daniels is one of the best magicians when it comes to story telling around a piece of magic!
A few months ago he released a DVD-Set called "Bravura" (http://www.worldmagicshop.com/bravura-by-paul-daniels-and-luis-de-matos/).
Of course it's not the cheapest product in the world, but one can take so much out of it! And I recommend it to everyone who wants to get an insight into Paul Daniel's way of thinking, how some of his greatest routines work - plus there is a whole DVD that just deals with presentation ( - see disc 4).
So with this DVD-Set you really can't go wrong!

Hope I could help you! Smile
