I'm creating a new show for me and I have the idea of being like this:

I start talking about mentalism and that many people has ask me questions like this (i take out a folded paper sheet from my pocket, unfold it and read one question) I answer the question throwing some jokes, and I pass to the second question. This time I answer it by doing an effect (first effect of the show -mayor effect) and so on with the rest of the questions.

So my question is ¿do you think this is a good idea for a show?

By now it's just a thought in my mind

Are you saying the entire show is you answering a list of questions you have by doing an effect for each one?

Sort of, but.. I mean using the questions as blocks, ¿you know what I mean? the questions would be 2 or 3 at maximum.

Not a bad framework, I assume you mean questions like "People sometimes ask me: how did you learn to do this? Well, it's a long story, in fact it's probably going to be easier to show you - hands up if you would like to come on stage and learn to read minds?" or "After my last gig a very shady looking man sidled up to me as I was packing up and said he had a team of investors with him who were interested in my skills and my mindreading ability and they had a business proposition that hinged on one question: Can you do it in a casino?"

What we do should inspire wonder and questions from the audience and by incorporating these questions into the routines you can feedback into that interest. What questions do you have in mind? Also, unless the paper is a prop that represents a letter someone has written you, just memorise the questions.

Yes, exactly Phil.

About the paper, actually what I have in mind is that the paper contains the questions, but also contains parts of the script, as this is a new script to help me remember it just in case ¿what do you think?

Have your questions and script in your pocket but aim to not use it. I have had pocketed cue cards on stage when working on a new script and had a line ready to cover looking at them if I lost my place, but I have fortunately never needed to look. I am a big believer in back-ups like this and the idea that the more you have the less you need them.
