Hello everyone,
I've played around with two different brands of #3 coin envelopes for Bob Cassidy's 4th Dimensional Telepathy, but both brands are weakly gummed and don't seal well when licked to close. Has anyone found a brand of #3 coin envelopes they're happy with for this routine? I'd greatly appreciate a good recommendation. Thanks so much! |

I use the Office Max house brand. The "Columbian" brand also works well.
The problem usually occurs only with the Sh***n envelope. That's because of the added flap. If you firmly crease the Sh***n back and forth several times until the large flap lays flat by itself, you will eliminate the problem of it popping open. Good thoughts, Bob |

I don't know if this helps much, but I don't have them seal the envelopes, I tell them not to worry about sealing them, make a little joke out of it and move on. They can see everything is open and fair; plus I open them later in the routine anyways, so there's no real reason to have them sealed and they can see that.
Something to think about if you're having trouble with the envelopes. |

When I first attempted to make the Sh***n envelope, I left too much of the small f**p. This may not be your problem, but it definitely screwed up my first attempt. Only a tiny bit is required.

Yes. You have to be sure it doesn't block much of the sticky section of the main flap.

Funny- I've never had a problem getting people to lick the flap.

A little repositional glue will make all of those non-sticking flaps work perfectly...with or without licking (If you don't want to toss the envelopes you have and get new ones...)

Hi, Exitmat.
With Bob's permission, I have made a PDF with an alternative handling of 4DT, using a different kind of envolopes. The document is on my website, I'll PM you the details if you're interested. Regards.
