In 1974 at the IBM convention, I saw a gimmick that produces the same effect as Kaps Smoking thumb, but without having to go to the hand for the smoke. The enire gimmick goes in the mouth. It had a brass insert with a wooden cover (to keep it cool in the mouth), small like those sample lipstick sticks, with holes on both ends. Does anyone know the name of this gimmick? I have thought about making one with a dowel and some used brass shell casings, but would prefer to buy one ready made.

Abbott's sells the original, made entirely of wooden dowels. You wrap it in cotton to control the heat. Sorry can't think of the name.
Call Greg at Abbott's he can help. It is not very expensive. Bill |

Paul Diamond sold the one you are thinking about. I bought one. It did not have a brass liner, though, just the wooden part. There was also a leather one with a brass liner. It tasted like @#$#!
The name of this gimmick was "The Smoke From Mouth Gimmick."
"The Swatter"

Thanks Bojanbarisic, I did not want to go through a trunk of stuff just for the name, but now that you mention it that is the name alright.
Bill the leather one I saw at a convention, it was made by a Japanese company I believe. That is what I thought of leather too, so I did not buy it. Bill |

Did anyone here ever buy that "Smoke from Fingertips" Stuff? I got a tube of it way back when I was only 13. Oh man, It didn't come off of my hands for weeks!
