I don't see any post where Looch claimed to have invented this move. He merely said he, along with others has used it, written about it and lectured on it.
It is surely as old as the hills. I remember my dad's mate doing it for me in the 70s. But to sell it as one's own creation is a little naughty, if par for the course these days. |

Hmm next time I'm reading S.A.D, re-watching looch's penguin lecture or your thoughts are mine DVD set or mulling over the great material from his recent lecture in Nottingham, or performing the AREA book test, I must remind myself that Looch is all mouth and trousers and not the thoroughly nice fellow that I have met a few times.

I learnt it a long time ago and I remember seeing it on Nefesch's Hot and Cold DVD (some great ideas on those discs) I was interested to see what work you have on it, I'll have to catch one of your lectures

Sean (and anyone else really), you can read Looch's handling of the coin spin force (the move itself and some routines) for FREE by clicking on the link below.
http://looch.co.uk/black-project-free-sample/ All you need to do is click the link, enter your email address, and return to the site with the password that gets emailed to you. You'll then be able to download the chapter. And again, it is FREE. The chapter referenced above is from Looch's forthcoming book 'The Black Project', and contains the material he has lectured on regarding the coin spin. Again, material from well before Capicua was released. There is nearly 60 pages of good stuff. Oh - And yes, Ray, he does start the chapter by looking at the history of the move. Best, Atlas |

Where is the first reference to it in the magic or gambling literature? Who specifically was Penguin supposed to ask for permission, and why? Who specifically was Penguin supposed to credit for this method and why? |
