I just took the plunge on this, saw it at Penguin and haven't heard anything about this.
http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/4370 It appears to be a portable method similar to Christopher Taylor's "Ohm". I watched the instructional download on Penguin and it's very genius and inspires different presentational uses. It lends to a lot of effects where you have back back turned and they make an action and after some by play can reveal a spectators birthday or thought of card. I can see using a "I Think of Mindreading" explanation for these kind of things. My order shipped today, excited to see what I can come up with. |

Well it's about time someone actually posted "I took the plunge!" Instead of "hey can someone or maybe 20 people review this so and so for me?" and then 20 people do review so and so and the OP comes back with "anyone else?"
So I commend you for taking the initiative. J |

Thank you, glad it was avoided this time.

I have had one of these for almost 6 months now.
It can be used for LOTS of effects and for once "limited only by your imagination" is actually true. Compact, simple and reliable. Steve |

I purchased as well during the cyber Monday sale.
Requires a bit more "on your person" than the only other electronic products I own (2 PM products) but I can see this working wonders. Mine arrives today. Waiting anxiously! |

Mine arrives today as well, I have to wait until work ends, so it'll be around midnight. But I can't wait to test it out. I'm sure this will play well in performance.

For me the glass of water really blows peoples minds.

If you can routine this so it makes sense and feels authentic , then it's great. Otherwise it's awful. For me, it's awful.

The performer turns his back holding the rest of the deck. He displays the back of a card to the spectators; a participant attempts to match the colour of the displayed card by choosing from one of the two tabled piles and placing it onto their own hand. This continues with more guesses until the participant has collected a stack of 6 or 8 cards, in order, on their hand. The performer now faces the audience with a stack of cards he collected after showing the backs. The performer shows that the first card was red; so is the participant's. Coincidence. Turning their cards face up simultaneously, the colour of the next card matches too, in fact, they all match. the original meaning of awful is “inspiring wonder”. All the best, Christopher |

I don't own this, and it's probably out of my price range for the foreseeable future, but I love the presentation with the glass of water. It has all sorts of magical resonances, from skrying through to psychometry and even, hem-hem, homeopathy. More excited by that than the technology, which I think is probably how things should be.

I just ordered OHM 2, which is an expanded version of Contact, from Christopher Taylor. I think that Contact is fantastic. You can do many different types of extraordinary routines. I think it is one of the best effects for 2014 IMHO.

I just received my OHM2 yesterday. Wow! so cool. All the effects are very good. Iw ill be hard to pick just one. The glass of water one is very good. Less "setup" and looks so natural. That one I will try first as a kind of test.

Ok, Christopher, now you're talking. That effect is much closer to something I'd perform. Unfortunately your product is a little out of my budget right now but I'm sure I'll run into you at a convention or something and check it out.

Robb, it is a fantastic tool which offers a lot of applications and allows you to create your own routines. It might be that your first impression is a bit due to a lack of experience in this field on your site. Jan

I'm hoping to replace the glass of water with a crystal ball.
Not sure if it will work the same as water but I don't see why it shouldn't. Just haven't had time to search out where to get a crystal ball from. Steve |

Jan, that is not the case... I have plenty of experience but I'm driven by a routine-first approach, not a method-first approach. So I need to have a routine in mind then I seek out a method, I don't do it the other way around. Chris' first example didn't spark my imagination but the second one did.
