So, my idea is to make a color change that uses no slight of hand, happens right in from of the spectators eyes, where the card just changes without any cover, and uses a gimmick. I want something that looks great and requires little or no cover. I'm thinking about using some kind of flap. Also, rubberbands would probably propel the flap to move. Any ideas from anyone? Thanks!

Plenty of use and instruction on flap cards out there. They are very visual. It does depend on what you want to use it for. I'd be weary in close up performances. Best if used on stage. Yu Ho Jin, Shin Lim, and I think Lukas make good use of them. In Shin Lim's case, he does use it at the table in 52 Shades of Red. Again, it does depend on what you want to use it for though...
