The Ducks should pull it off with no problem. I just read that several of the FSU players found that thier cars were vandilized when they got back home. Seems silly to me, yes I want the Ducks to win, but the bottom line is that it's only a game. But that being said, I may have to call in sick for work next Tuesday if the Ducks do lose.

The over/under's 75, so the expectation is Oregon winning 41-34.
These ain't no Woody Hayes Buckeyes. |

I'm excited already ... the Buckeyes had a huge battle to win while the Ducks did it easily .. So perhaps they have more energy left over to recoup during the 12 days off...??? Maybe?

Your Right S2000, The games on the 12th. The more I think about it, I highly doubt that they'll be any reason to call in sick the next day. It should be a great game! It's kind of nice not to have a team from the SEC around this time.

Well, Oregon wide receiver Darren Carrington won't be playing on Monday; he was caught with marijuana in his system.

What an IDIOT!!!! But it brings up a question ...Mary Jane is pretty much legal in Washington ... is it possible to punish someone who perhaps visits another school or some friends in Washington and indulges.
We have friends that used to fly to Amsterdam every year ...We've always wondered what would happen if they were tested at work the next week for something they did that was legal. Maybe BOB knows?

I can short-circuit that line of thought pretty quickly: Marijuana is illegal in every state in the country. Period. The fact that certain states have decriminalized it at the state level is irrelevant; it's against federal law.
Secondly, private associations (like the NCAA) are entitled to set their own rules. They can't permit something that is illegal, but they can certainly prohibit thigs that are legal. So even if marijuana WERE legal (which is isn't), they could absolutely take action against someone who smoked it. Just like the Magic Castle can not allow in a member wearing a T-shirt.

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley. "...as we reason and love, we are able to hope. And hope enables us to resist those things that would enslave us." |

What an idiot. With the biggest game of his life coming up, he goes and does something like that. He has a full ride, pretty much everything's paid for. If they tell you not to drink water from a paper cup, then you don't. He's a top notch player, lot's of catches and yards racked up in the Rose Bowl. He'lll be missed, but the next man up in his spot will hopefully do just fine.
