I asked this question in the I.B.M. area also, I hope that is OK?
I'd like to see what the local S.A.M. meeting looks like in person before I purchase membership; is this allowed? Or would the group recognize a RookieMage immediately and place me into Magic Jail, or worse, Felony Illusionist Prison? |

The answer is "certainly."
How else would you be able to find out what the meetings are all about in order to decide whether you want to become a member of the organization? That was obviously a rhetorical question. |

Rhetorical? I had to go and get my dictionary. How do you spell "rhetorical"?
I always thought that the only "dumb" question was the one you didn't ask/ hee hee

Great feedback all, I plan to attend next month's meeting and will report back what my scouting mission discovers....
