So this frivolous bit of pop culture has been virally circling the web for a few days, and I thought that it may be a neat way of presenting a color changing deck routine, or something of the sort. "So everyone has been talking about this dress... For some reason, no one can agree on what colors it actually is! Some people argue blue and black, while others would go to the grave claiming it's white and gold. Very very interesting how our brains perceive color... Allow me to show you an example of this phenomenon with this deck of cards....."

It's a natural for illusionists who do color change costumes as part of their act. Only now they can have an assistant wearing a bright red dress get covered with a white cloth and lit with a deep red light to show that under the red light, when the cloth is dropped, the dress appears black, only to have the light change to white light and show that the dress is actually deep blue. That should silence the silly Internet talk.
