I posted this 5 years ago on here when she would've been 60, and will again in the future.
I always remember her birthday as her and I share the same day and year (March 2nd 1950) but please no "happy birthdays" as this is not about me, but one of the best voices that ever was or maybe ever will be. A lot of thoughts about her and what could have been Gone way, way, too soon. |

Only a few women I would have left home and family for, and she was one of them. I certainly agree about "best voices"... ever...
Also known, when doing rope magic, as "Cordini"

I still miss her, and still play "The Carpenters" music regularly. They were my favorite band in High School while everyone else was listening to Led Zeppelin (another great band, no put down intended) I was in college when she passed away. Raise a glass to her memory.
Note: I happen to live very close to where Richard Carpenter still lives, and often go to plays at the Carpenter funded "Carpenter Center." Her drum kit is on display there. Brings a tear to my eye every time I see it.
Magic is like Science,
Both are fun if you do it right! |
