Eric will be lecturing for the Magic Masters of Chicago in Tinley Park on Thursday, March 19 at 7:30. Admission is $15.00.
The lecture will be held in the social hall at United Methodist Church located at 6875 W. 173rd Pl. in Tinley Park, IL. Regarded by his peers as one of Magic’s Rising Stars, Eric Jones has made quite a name for himself in the world of magic. Armed with cunning sleight of hand and a charming personality, he will astound you with his digital dexterity. Eric creates intimate miracles for you and your guests, with the magic quite often taking place in your hands. When Eric performs, cards fly, coins multiply and audiences cheer. An award winning performer, Eric’s magic has been showcased at The World Famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA, and NYC’s Monday Night Magic, the longest running magic show in New York. Eric has appeared on television in 13 countries 4 continents and has wowed the likes of dozens of A List celebrities. As an author, creator, lecturer and consultant, Eric fits sharing some of his pet effects with countless magicians across the country including The World Magic Seminar in Las Vegas, Nevada into his busy schedule. The Lecture Eric’s lecture will challenge you to look at your magic in a whole new light after discussing ways to make close up effects play to large audiences, re-directing attention rather than misdirecting it, how to properly block/stage your performances to both conceal method as well as optimize the audience reaction to the magic. These and several other ideas will be discussed while you learn some of Eric’s award winning magic, including: Audio – a four coin, coins to pocket routine that has to be “heard” to be believed. Mirage Et Trois – a three phase coin routine without the use of any gimmicks, that plays great close-up and even better in parlor situations. Ishkabibble Sandwich – This routine has gone down in history as the most visual sandwich to be contributed to the plot. Eric will share the real work on what David Regal said, “Looks like a Mark Mason gimmick…damn that’s visual.” TWIZTED – a devious collection of tricks done with set of cards that do all the work, so you don’t have to! Entrapment – A most visual two phase two card transposition done without the use of gimmicks that really looks like trick photography! Surrogate _ A color-changing deck for the 21st century. A signed selection changes color then the back of the entire deck changes and then can be given out for examination. A real fooler! New Era – This is a minor impromptu miracle. Borrow a hat, a coin and let the fun begin. You WILL do this one tomorrow! The Famous 4 Card Trick – based on Woody Aragon’s effect from his Book in English, Eric has streamlined and strengthened the effect for American lay audiences. Be prepared to take notes. The Pen – The PERFECT way to produce a magic wand, ink pen, pencil or Sharpie marker during your act, COMPLETELY SURROUNDED! This and many other tricks and bits of information will be shared. Drop by and spend time with what many of the world’s top magicians are calling “The Real Deal”. Here’s what several had to say about Eric and his magic: Testimonials “Eric Jones has the Vernon Touch…” Etienne Lorenceau “After watching Eric do some of the most innovate, amazing card magic for an hour he told me he was a coin guy and then proved it….Eric Jones is the REAL DEAL!!!” Chris Kenner “Eric has confidence chops and charm….three reasons we must fear him.” David Regal “The future of magic is in good hands.” Curtis Kam Once again, the lecture is at 7:30 on March 19 at United Methodist Church located at 6875 W. 173rd Pl. in Tinley Park, IL. Admission is $15.00 for non-members, FREE for Magic Masters. Come on out for a great evening! http://themagicmasters.com/ |
