Just thinking back of some people whom I feel are interesting. Heddy Lamar ranks pretty high up on the interesting list. Knowing of her acting career and then knowing about her as being...I guess one would call an inventor, seems very interesting to me. The two just seem incongruous. Anyone else know of people with what seems to be two completely different people. I don't mean a split personality or any kind of mental disorder. But rather someone who appears one way and has interests so diverse from what others imagine. Heddy was one of those people. Just rambling here. My bad.
I love her comment on looking glamorous. "Any girl can be glamorous. All you have to do is stand still and look stupid".

How about the ventriloquist Paul Winchell who became famous in the 1950's with Jerry Mahoney?
He left show business to invent an artificial heart. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Winchell |

Coco Chanel springs to mind.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

James Cameron has done some pretty interesting things in his life. But I have to make a confession, for years I thought he'd played the dad on Family Ties. It was Michael Gross btw.
Performing magic unprofessionally since 2008!

From the link I provided above:
Quote: He invented an artificial heart with the assistance of Dr. Henry Heimlich, the inventor of the Heimlich Maneuver, and held the first patent for such a device. The University of Utah developed a similar apparatus around the same time, but when they tried to patent it, Winchell's heart was cited as prior art. The university requested that Winchell donate the heart to the University of Utah, which he did. |
