It didn't happen...no one was shot!
A young man was arrested for illegal possession of a handgun.

If you say no one was shot, give us more. We have a news report with a police chief admitting that a shot was fired. So what did happen?

What I've heard (secondhand) was that the guy was running, an officer was chasing him, the suspect dropped a gun, the gun went off, and the suspect fell to the ground.
I have a fair amount of sympathy for the witness(es) who saw he guy being chased and falling to the ground right after a gunshot in their immediate vicinity.

BTW, the man whose gun went off was (according to news reports and video) loaded into an ambulance. Hence another reason why many reports indicated that a man was shot. Given he was in an ambulance and being looked at by a medic, that seemed to be the case. http://news.yahoo.com/baltimore-police-d......195.html "Fox News, which had reported that the man had been shot while he was fleeing authorities, apologized for what it said was an inaccurate report."

Are you guys suggesting that actual investigations should be completed prior to jumping to conclusions based on political bias? That might just be crazy enough to work!

It would seriously cut down the number of threads in NVMS that is for certain.

[/quote) Actually what Kaballah found was a biased eyewitness account that couldn't possibly be true because cameras in the vicinity have shown that the officer didn't pull his weapon, the man had a gun and began running when he saw the officer get out of his car, he fell to the ground at which time the gun went off and no one was shot. As usual, the locals began acting like idiots again before knowing what really happened. |

Are you saying the Fox reporter who witnessed the incident and said that the officer shot e man was biased?

Fox's Mike Tobin also claimed that he saw the officer pull his gun.

Eyewitness accounts are notoriously unreliable. Like it or not, our memories and perceptions of events are deeply flawed. ALL of us. And when you prime those perceptions by recent events (real or perceived), then you have the recipe for mistaken recollections. Honest and sincere perhaps, but mistaken.
That being said, I agree with NYCTwister that Kaballah "found something which apparently confirmed his bias, and couldn't wait to share it". That much is obvious. Ron
