This is a fantastic film and a superb cast,can not beleive I mised this one,just watched it fantastic.For those who may not know it is based on an Edgar Alan Poe story,it is a must see film.

Agree with you, also kind of an "O'Henry" ending.
Also one must decide for themselves who the 'bad guy' was, exactly. Great take on old cruelties, treated as state-of-the-art medicine, back then. |

I feel like I was "trailered" by this one. I watched the preview a while ago and thought they had pretty much just shown me the film. Do me a favor -- watch the trailer online. If it doesn't give 80% of the story away, let me know. I'd like to see it, if I haven't already "seen it". You know?
I hate it when movie previews do that.

Well, that's a *** shame. just watched it.
If you wish to enjoy the film, skip the trailer. Tho it does not reveal all the quirky ending twists, certainly blows a hole in the central plot. |
