I would LOVE to open a magic shop here in Washington and run it like the one's I remembered when I was a kid. Magic lessons and weekend shows featuring local talent. I have a lot of retail knowledge but not a lot of knowledge on how to actually get the product to sell. Anyone ever written on this subject on the forums or any where else?
We currently have two magic stores here that I know of in the Seattle Washington area. The one at Pike's Place that really caters to tourists and one that is the victim of a divorce and is slowly dying I'm afraid. It's time for a new store!

I've purchased from Wolf's Magic -- all products are very well made, and I continue to be a customer >> highly recommended!
I'm also looking for Wolf's original big-sized "Outhouse" prop. If anyone is thinking of selling one, I will be glad to contact you. >> Wolf's Magic rocks! Chris |

I'd always recommend searching locally to see if there is a bricks and mortar magic shop near you to support.
If not, look for an online dealer that is happy for you to call just for advice. A good 'test' is a few calls just for advice rather than 'orders' . Did the dealer help you without trying to push a sale? Did you feel rushed or pressured to place an order? No 1 good sign: Did they try to find out about what you already perform and enjoy, your skill level, and what your goals in magic are, before suggesting 'what's New'? The goal is to find a supplier on the internet that will give you the same attention remotely, that they would if you were a local regular to a bricks and mortar shop. Buying online doesn't need to be a mechanical process.. Hope this helps Dominic

I'm thinking that good advice is going to help both buyers AND sellers! Great tips.

I always loved using TheMagicWarehouse, his shipping was always fast and his customer service was top notch. I haven't ordered or needed anything recently, but when I did I always used the Magic Warehouse
