Hi,
I was wondering if anyone else has used a fake call app to reveal a card, in the way you would call a friend, or have them call you and using a code, signal the card. I found I can record a voice that speaks when the fake call is answered. Im so behind the times with apps, has anyone else utilized this and what other apps are out there that do this?

I dunno if this is what you want. And btw, it's for iOS. But, in the last post he said he wanted to do the android version.

If you don't mind having an audience member unwittingly make a prank call, you could always give them a phone number for a prediction and then have them choose a card. There are dozens of people in the U.S. named "Jack Diamond" and more than 100 named "Jack Hart." And there are several "Gentleman's Clubs" named "The King of Diamonds."
It's still magic even if you know how it's done.

Haha that's interesting, I live in Australia though. Will have to investigate those type of names here.
I just wondered about the app because I found I can schedule a call, answer it and have a recorded voice play. Its almost an impromptu genie effect, where the magician calls a friend and codes the card. However, having a recording I can force and reveal lots of things. For example, I could record my voice with a voice changer and have it set as the voice to play, schedule the call and do a psyforce, have the spectator concentrate on the item and send it to the devil...then the devil calls, the spec answers and the devils tells them what theyre thinking of...and that he will be seeing them soon! Lol There are many applications for it, just seeing who else has played with this idea.

I don't know many Android apps, since I use iPhone. But, I know iOS apps that applies a voice recording from a psychic. iPredict use a real US phone number to reveal any chosen card (as you're in Australia-- you or you're spec will pay for the call) and MentalKiller use an all in your phone method to reveal any chosen card with a voice recording (you have to wait for the dev upgrade this amazing app to the newest iOS, though).
If you need an impromptu methods (dependant to your frined) that use any phone (even borrowed one) plus your friend as your accomplice, there are two method: A phone call to your friend in front of your spec (they can hear you, it doesn't matter), but he still be able to predict any card with a speaker phone so everyone can hear him revealing the chosen card (I think Brushwood have this revealed on his youtube channel) and using text messages to your friend. The spec can read your message it doesn't matter and your friend can predict any card chosen perfectly (this one, I completely forgot where I read this. I know how with a little meditation to restore my old mind. But, I still unable to recall the creator). I almost forgot my favorite iOS app: MagicSMS2, you can let your spec text your friend with your phone and he can reveal any card plus the color of her shirt. |

Hi Gambit! I've been using FCM Pro (Fake Call Me Pro) on my Android phones for years to reveal a card. You can put in anything you want for the name that shows up on the caller ID, including a playing card, and you can set the time at different intervals (pre-set options are 5, 15, and 30 seconds, 1 and 5 minutes, or you can customize the time), so you can customize it to the routine you want to do. There's also an option to auto-close after a call is scheduled, so you can set the phone down in full view while going through the routine. It's great and very reasonably priced.
Regards, Scott

Had this idea years ago but never got around to making an app out of it.
My basic idea would be that you would have a fake dial screen, and you could have the spectator dial any random number. It would then ring and "someone" would pick up - obviously, it would be an audio file that you created. I would memorize a script so that you could put the phone on speaker, have a seemingly real conversation with a complete stranger, and end with them revealing your forced object/card/etc. I suppose with all the app technology today, it could be done so that you could input the card/object/location/etc, and the audio file would change at the appropriate moment. |
