Would you recommend the following for kids ... like 7 years old for an up close, impromptu type performance?
One Coine Routine/Coin thru the table a la Slydini Tenkai pennies One cup routine Paper balls over the head Salt shaker thru the table One ball routine, similar to the Slydini routine

The few times that I've tried paper balls over the head for kids, some one in the audience has always given it away by the 2nd toss.
Also, I feel that magic for kids is more successful when the routines involve volunteers. Sponge balls come to mind. |

If you do anything through the table, expect the kids to be there, too.
Not entirely impromptu here, but most can have that feel... TT and silk - turn the silk invisible and have the kids catch it and throw it back. Glorpy - Toss a crayon into the folds and have it write someone's name on a blank(?) business card. Crayon color mind-reading - (thumbnail) Sponge Balls - do these without spectator assist, or every kid will want to hold them... 2 in hand, one in pocket... perpetual balls... etc. Catching a ghost in a paper lunch bag - (snap) Rubber pencil Upside-down George Smiling/Frowning George Matrix with kid cards (baseball, Pokemon, etc) Buddah Papers Trapdoor card Torn & Restored Napkin (with sucker explanation) Crazy Man's Handcuffs ...and check Martin Gardner's book!

Not easy to know when Frank is serious these days.

I think Frank is pulling our leg, through satire, for a good laugh.

I'm serious.
I did these the other evening at a dinner party when asked to "do something" with just stuff lying around the table. Of course, I did have to sneak a thing or 2 to prep. Getting to do the tricks I love the most is always so enjoyable.
