Will,
What do you mean by instant? There are a TON of online Halloween makeup stores that carry everything from travel-size containers to 5 gallon buckets of the stuff. Just google 'fake blood' and see what you get. For years, the standard in the film industry has been gallons of diluted Karo Corn Syrup mixed with red food coloring. It won't stain clothes, looks like the real stuff and tastes yummy. Let me know if you need more information than this and I'll get in touch with some people for you. Take care, Tony Ley |

Actually, the red food coloring and corn syrup DOES stain clothing. Its quite notorious for that. Working in a haunted house, I play with different formulas for blood. You can find basic recipes that wont stain online.

I am dedicated to the Graphtobian Stage Blood. It is the most realistic one I can find and I love the company.
I used that in my makeup for years.

Unless you film in B&W, then it is Hershey's all the way (Pshyco!)
Are you perhaps looking for some of the "mix the two things and get the color change to blood" type items! If so then check the folks at Kymystical (?)for the blood evidence, I am certain that with a little tweaking you can get it to work in a more liquid form if needed, though the nature of the chemicals would possibly limit location of use.

I seen that being demonstrated before, but the packaging and instructions looks like thai language. It comes with two clear solution. Put one solution on your palm, and the other on the blade of a blunt knife. Doing the palm slicing movement causes the two solution to come in contact, it forms a chemical reaction that produces a very realistic blood colored solution.
I can't find where to buy it anywhere else. |

Tri-ESS Sciences in Burbank, CA, still sells their A-B Blood. There are two solutions, one goes on the person's skin, the other on the knife. When the two come in contact, it makes a red streak.
Their website is: http://www.tri-esssciences.com/ The product number is SE-921 It is a large website, so searching takes time. The blood is under "special effects."

This PRECISE EFFECT is MARKETED by JUAN MAYORAL from spain.
Infact I purchased it just last week from http://www.taylorsmagicshop.com in SYDNEY Sean Taylor can get the effect for you....which is essentially what has just been mentioned.. Take a cerated KNIFE...cut through your ARM BLOOD oooozes from your arm...FANTASTIC the only problem I find is that the blood is too runny... by the way yes it is too clear liquids as they come in contact, they produce a blood like colour. I'm trying to experiment to thiken it up a little... Another very cool illusion is that when you put the liquid on the kife it makes it look cerated. IS this CORN SYRUP clear...maybe you could mix it with one of the chemicals to thicken it |
