Does anyone know where I can buy some nice gold plated Kennedy half dollars?

There is a marketed item called Midas touch that has a gold Kennedy half. You may be able to buy just the coin from Sasco or a magic store or Johnson Products.

I found a website that sells em for $5. Is that cheap? For that low I would think the quality wouldn't be too good. I would expect golden halves to cost way more. Any input would be great.

Try Chazpro Magic. I think I have seen gold plated 50 cent coins there.

There is probably a jeweler's shop or a gunsmith in your local area who can plate them for you. Sometimes it is a lot cheaper that way.

Thank you guys. I couldn't find anything at Chazpro's site. I might try my local jeweler or something but I might go ahead and buy one of the $5 halves and see how it is. If they are nice I will buy more. But I'm not sure if that's what I'm going to do. lol.

Hocus-Pocus has some in stock.
You could also get Alchemist's Phantasy (even though it isn't real gold, but looks nice).

Trulymagic,
sascomagic.com has what you are looking for, 24K quarters, halves & Ikes, $5, $6, & $8 respectively; they are comparable to what a jeweler could produce; caution: you can't store these gold plated coins in your pocket or purse with other coins, they scratch very easily; I've had to store them individually in the single plastic containers that coin dealers use for precious coins, a real drag; Aloha, BWind |

Ebay often sells these in 18k quality. Not expensive.

I have been using these gold plated coins for years and have yet to see any difference from when I purchased them.
