Twice the fun, and twice the Tom. With Tom's permission, I recorded a presentation Tom Mullica gave during a breakfast meeting for the Order of Merlin attendees at the recent I.B.M. convention in Jacksonville, Florida. He spoke for about 20 minutes on his life of being "naive". Throughout his life Tom has always believed in the goodness of humanity and therfor trusted everyone. And he did things that some people would consider bold but he considered reasonable and just said, "hey, why not? What's the worst that could happen?" Well, it turns out that although most of his ventures into the unknown resulted in new and exciting adventures he would have otherwise not known, there were some times that were not so successful and caused him emotional and financial harm. He talks about all of this in the first part of the podcast.
After the morning event was over, Tom and I sat down to talk one-on-one where we went on an emotional roller coaster. These chats of mine have no script nor agenda. They just go where they go, and like the podcast I did with Noel Britten, this one went somewhere I wasn't expecting. At one point we talk seriously about when he "came out of the closet" and when he told his mother he was gay and her reaction. Well, you can watch a couple videos, see some photos, read the blog, listen online and download the MP3 file at: http://themagicwordpodcast.com/scottwell......-mullica
