Yes they are. I think temporary aging only, water-based acrylics should work fine for their role (as White Star markers).
No sandpaper or accelerated corrosion, don't have the heart for that.

WOW, the quality of the newspaper is the best I've seen. I bought one before off the big auction site but it looks like a repo. This looks like the real deal, outstanding. I luv Whitestar and use it in a lecture I do, these props off Willie are just amazing
