I know there have been previous threads on KK. I have started using this effect and was wondering how you go about doing your routine on KK. I am looking for different presentational ideas. I want to make it last longer than just having the spec name a card and then pull it out of my wallet. Your ideas on presentational ideas or routines are appreciated.

Steve,
Believe it or not, I use Whit Haydn's basic psychological premise applied from his Chicago Opener Routine; Although KK is supposed to be a mentalism effect, comedy matches my performing style; For about $20 bucks, the Chicago Opener manuscript is more than just the routine and secret, you'll gain valuble insight on how to make a trick go from amusing to amazing; BWind |

Hi there, take a look at http://underground-collective.com - Take a look at Heirloom, a great effect that puts a slightly different spin on KK.
Basically you have an old sepia photo in your wallet of your old uncle charlie holding a card that is the same as the spectators prediction. Very cool effect, a great story, and packs a mighty punch! Highly reccommended! big dan

Personally I combine it my version of K.E.N.T. I don't want to start the controversy up again, but imagine having someone THINK of a card (NO CARDS ARE USED), and being able to name it. This usually works 90% of the time (even on the phone or internet). When I miss, I use KK. I use psychology which makes perfect sense. If you have K.E.N.T., I'll be happy to share my version. Since it uses NO CARDS, NO ONE can say I am stealing. I do you a psychological ploy in which I HAVE attained permission.
There is also a book called Killer Konceptions which has various versions by various performers (including myself). Let me know if I can help! BTW DPE666...I have done a search, and can not find your version. I'd be very interested to read about it!

Hey Deceptionguy. While your at it, ask Dpe666 about his thoughts for a presentation of Heirloom. I was talking with him the other day and he had some killer ideas!

I sent my payment in for Heirloom, but have yet to receive it (hopefully anyday now). If you have an understanding of KK then you should have an idea if what Heirloom is. It's has the same end result (as far as the effect is concerned), so I believe they are pretty comparable.

I just know the original version of Kolosal Killer, and when I bought it, I was very disapointed.
I think is not very clean and not clear. |

David; shoulda bought Heirloom direct from us and got the bonus stuff
The bonus deal's about to end, by the way. We intend to sell the bonus as a separate product shortly, though, which will have a load of new material in it including a brand new handling and presentation (in which the letter is eliminated!) - and other stuff! This will be FREE to anyone who'd received the current bonus booklet and will be available as a separate purchase for anyone else. This means people who bought from dealers can still get the new stuff. Cheers, Jamie.

Heirloom is the best alternate version of Kollosal Killer I have ever seen. It really is cool.
My basic idea with it is to actually have the spectator play a round of poker. Tell the spectator that he will assume the role of your Uncle. Then you would actually deal out 5, 4 card hands of poker. Then let the spectator decide which of the 5 hands he wants. Have him look at the 4 cards, then announce which card he would want in order to make "the best hand possible". You could borrow the deck, and do it cold in which case you would need everything that is supplied with Heirloom (which would be my method of choice). However, you could use your own deck, and have it stacked in such a way that there would only be a few outcomes possible, and you would not need everything that is supplied. To me, Heirloom is wonderful in its proper place. Meaning, the Original Kollosal Killer is perfect for an impromptu performance. However, Heirloom is more suited for a formal situation. |
