I prefer the Legacy emergency kit tbh.
Most systems I've used have practically the same tying instructions. |

If you want to tie bands, then IMO, the trinity system is the only way to go. Pair that with Eddie Raymond's IET and youve got the dream team.
I sat down one night for a couple hours and made around 90-100 bands, and I still have 60 left!! Also, you guys HAVE to get ring slide by Justin Miller! Imo, its the best thing you can do w/IET bands after invisible touch. Sleepy |

Can you elaborate on ringslide?

You put a borrowed ring on a sharpie, the spec holds both ends, and yet the ring moves at your command, then spec takes one hand off, and the ring slides off the sharpie into their waiting hand.

Yep, just as catweazle says. It can also be dinner knife instead of a sharpie if you so wish! Its very powerful!

Does anyone still use SpeedBands for tying bands? Looking to get into loop work and wondered where to start.

I’ve tried to get hold of the trinity system but have been mucked around endlessly over it. Order never shipped and emails repeatedly ignored so I’m just going to push for a refund. But the upshot is I’m still looking for a resource for IET and I’m hoping this will do the job. Anyone have other thoughts on comparisons?

I'm a little late to the game but got excited about the Trinity System after seeing the glowing review on the Wizard Product Reviews. I ordered the The IET Massive Kit directly from Subdividedstudios.com several weeks ago. When it did not arrive after a couple of weeks I called the contact number from the website and spoke with (I think) the owner. He assured me that he had indeed shipped the product but that he would be happy to ship another one since I had not received it. I thought this was very generous. When the product still did not arrive after a couple of weeks I called him back and he assured me that it was packed up and ready to go out the following business day. We discussed the possibility of tracking to ensure we could keep up with the package and he indicated he would send me the tracking number (which he has not done to date). It has been at least two weeks since we last spoke and I still do not have the product in hand. I do not know what to say about this except that I am out $140 for what promises to be a great product but do not have anything to show for the money I spent. If the situation improves I will be sure to post an update here but, as of now, I would not recommend dealing with this vendor.

I'll spare you a review as others have done an awesome job of reviewing this system here and elsewhere on the Café. Just a note that I and others probably need to consider that not all dealers are set up like Penguin and Vanishing Inc with a huge focus on customer service and technology. I suspect that the primary focus of Subdivided Studios is the production of high quality products (as can be seen on their website) but not so much on order fulfillment to the general magic public. After a little persistence on the part of both parties this worked out in the end. I'm looking forward to digging in on this product. Regards, Keith |

I have been using what I'm told is the "million dollar knot" I am very curious about Tom Wright's speedbands. Will anyone post a review here? My main curiosity is how much the band has to be stretched to tie the knot. I recently purchased mesika's inner circle to have the wallet holder. But I did notice once his bands have been stretched, they don't fit as snug onto the card again. The bands that I tie agree a bit larger and don't fit onto the card snug at all. What I would like to know is, does the Speedband system allow you to tie the bands with minimal initial stretching to the IET. This may be to technical for thor's forum but, I still haven't reached my 50 posts yet. Sheesh and I've been on here since 2012!

I've given up tying my own, I just buy them ready-made from Eddie Raymond.
They fit on Inner Circle, that's what I'm using. I bought Speedbands from Penguin, but never ended up using it after being turned onto Eddie's bands by people such as SleepyMagic from these forums. Dave |
