A taste that's sweeter than wine?

When I was a kid, my dad loved Herb Albert so I listened to a lot of them growing up.

"This Guy's in Love With You."
Epic vocal. And I think I once owned the 45 of the Zorba theme.

I've used them as background music for a show or two (searching for volunteers).

Always like the cover of Whipped Cream & Other Delights. Who needs Playboy.

I played trumpet and baritone horn in High School but until reading this thread and re-listening to some of his music on YouTube I had completely forgotten that I learned to play trumpet by practicing a several of his numbers. If asked I would have guessed that he had passed away some time ago but amazingly, Herb is 80 and still releasing music!

I was on a kids' TV show for 2 1/2 years and the studio would always add their own music to my act when needed. Much of the time, it was Herb Alpert's music. BTW - "Tijuana Taxi" is great for comedy.
