"He likes magic, he likes good magic, and he likes sharing good magic." - Jeremiah Zuo

"Okay, "The Contest" by Tom and Ed Oschmann: Best. Party. Trick. Ever. Hands down, they've crafted the finest handling of the classic "Poker Players' Picnic" I've seen. What a great trick!" - John Bannon

"Your notes are inspirational." - Ross Johnson

“I performed Tom's Oil and Water this week as a closer, it played beautifully. The procedure allows for a lot of flexibility in terms of how you routine other effects around OiATER. This routine is a keeper. Well done Tom.” - Mike Vincent

“Tom’s version of the poker deal (“Big Four Poker”)is the real deal, a superbly constructed routine.” - David Parr

“If you like Wild Card and you often find yourself working in a walk around situation, then this routine is for you. The routine is extremely visual, has no apparent discrepancies, and no awkward moves. I really like this handling and have added the routine to my repertoire.” - Allan Ackerman

What will he teach?

The Contest: Poker Players Picnic REDUX by Ed Oschmann/Tom Dobrowolski

Hana Ho Card by Curtis Kam - With a pedigree that includes Michael Weber and Curtis Kam, Tom has honed this trick into a masterpiece. "Hana Ho" means "Do it Again!" in Hawaiian. And Hawaii magician Curtis Kam uses this simplified moving hole effect to answer that call. It's a quick encore to any effect using a signed card that transforms that card into something just a little more special for the lucky person who gets to keep it.

Naked Deck Opener/Wait? What?? by Trent Ketchmark/Tom Dobrowolski - The perfect opener to a card or close up set. A blank deck becomes instantly printed with faces and backs. Very fun, simple, visual magic and a variation where a card is selected, the deck turns blank, faces and backs reappear, and the card is found! At the end you can hand out the deck!

Neither Short-Sighted nor Mad by John Carey - John's great take on Tamariz’ classic “Neither Blind nor Silly”. This one, like so much of John’s brilliant material, is SO much fun to perform!

Away We Go by Tom Dobrowolski - A no-fuss and direct handling for a selected “cards across.”

Jim Ryan's Last Trick by Tom Dobrowolski/Jim Ryan - From Tom's first lecture, this is an absolutely GREAT opener based on two of Jim Ryan's classics, The Portal.

Increasing the Odds by Patrick Flanagan - One simple, strong, entertaining demonstration in “cheating at cards” that you can use to lead into another routine or as a stand alone effect.

Misdirection:The Way of The Monkey by David Kuraya - David sent me a clip of this strange and wonderful effect and I HAD to have it for the notes!

Something Borrowed, Something New by Jack Carpenter - You’ll be doing some amazing visual magic with very little effort and a freely selected card. You’ll love this!

Whitewall by Jeff Prace - A wonderfully simple concept, limited only by your imagination, that turns your iPhone/Smartphone into an even more magical device. Heck, it’s so simple even I can do it!

What You “Wynnn” in Vegas, Stays in Vegas by Tom Dobrowolski - Dubbed semi-automatic coin magic by Curtis Kam (Mr. “Palms of Steel”). With just 3 coins you hit the Jackpot and then just as quickly hit the road, busted out. You’ll learn a few easy moves and displays that will make you look like you have Curtis Kam “Palms of Steel”.

BBQ Ribs Three Coins Across by Jeremiah Zuo - More semi-automatic coin magic. It is a simple handling of the 3 Fly/Visible Coins across which maximizes each magical moment by reducing the number of coins in the hands during each phase.

AND...

The REAL Theory 11 Magic Theory Summarized in 11 Words by Tom Dobrowolski - Yep, Tom’s condensed magic theory down to 11 well-chosen words!! Agree or disagree, you’ll want to hear this!

Also, performances of OiATER, In the Hands Wild Card, and Tom’s Poker aka Big Four Poker, a four card Poker game that Tom developed to sell to casinos to make BILLIONS!! 4 players, 4 cards, 4 Rules “4” loads of fun! You'll also here stories and thoughts from Tom’s 40 + years in magic. Don't miss it!

I wanted to thank the amazing Penguin Magic team for their professionalism and kindness in working to make my lecture the best it could be. They're all great to work with throughout the whole process. Thanks Tim Trono at Penguin for the opportunity!

Thanks to those who tuned in and attended in person. My goal was to teach some good magic and to make the lecture fun to be a part of as well.

It was a great experience! I'm blessed to have had the experience.

A new clip has been added with Dan Harlan talking about what's in the lecture and footage from the lecture itself. It's clip #1. We had a lot of fun at the lecture and I was able to teach some really good fun magic you'll use! It really was a great time. Take a look and join in the fun!

A new review posted for my Penguin Live lecture:

"The Stuff that Works posted November 20th, 2015

Tom's lecture notes are some of THE best I have read in recent years. They are full of varying effects, types of props and fun ideas. In this lecture he tips routines from not one, but several of his lecture notes and marketed effects!

The material plays anywhere to almost any type of audience. They are FULL ROUTINES that are fun, well written and not that difficult to work up. MANY of Tom's tricks have gone straight into my bar magic set here in Hawaii.

I will be returning to this lecture as a reference for a LONG, LONG time."

Looking forward to watching this as I have only watched a small amountbut familiar with so much of the material.

Treats in store as you bring the printed page to life.
