I expect it will be like The Magic Way which will be rewrite and expand. I looking forward to the reprint as well. Sincerely,

Anybody has any update regarding the reprint of Sonata? At Magi-Fest 2019, Manuel Llaser confirmed that it is being worked on and with The Magic Rainbow released, I was wondering how soon Sonata reprint is expected?

It's been in the pipeline for close to a decade or more now.
I'm hoping with the release of The Magic Rainbow there will be a Sonata reprint soon! It's the only Juan Tamariz book I have been unable to read. I'm even hoping that by posting about it, it will become true! That would be magic. |

It‘s not currently available as far as I know, other than the second-hand market at quite steep prices.

The guy who is in charge of books at penguin (can't remember his name, sorry) commented on a thread regarding "The Magic Rainbow" and stated that Sonata and Flamenco had not been forgetten about.
So yes, Sonata is going to be reprinted in English at some point. |

It feels like magicfish is trying to sell out of print books for big $$$ and highjacks every thread to promote his efforts. Get a real job dude.

I have never seen Magicfish hawk anything here, but he has reccomended many outstanding books, probably because he has a huge library and definitely because he deeply appreciates the work and art that goes into producing a top quality work

Just a brief check on release date of Hermetic Press release on Maestro Juan Tamariz all English Publication (books) on Murphy's Magic:
Mnemonica (10/1/2004) The Five Points (10/18/2007) Verbal Magic (10/28/2008) The Magic Way (Revised and expanded)(7/17/2014) The Magic Rainbow (2/11/2019) In other words, we will expecting some time from 1-6 years (on average 3 years) probably before we can see the 2nd edition of Sonata, or better the Flamenco appears. On the other hand, the above release, plus many other fine release by other giants in magic over the years we already need a few more life-times to read and understand, at least to me.

I have never owned, nor read Sonata, but I would like to one day. I missed out on it when it was first published. I used to stare at the spine on the shelf at Morrissey Magic.
