Does anbody have an idea how I could exchange a stripper deck and a normal deck? Both have a blue riderback so I'm looking for a sleight or a reason, I don't want to just bring a second deck in for no reason.

This has been covered countless times on the Café. A search will give you plenty of answers. You might look into Juan Tamariz double crossing the gaze technique to execute a pocket switch. Are the effects you're performing with a normal deck unable to be done with the stripper? I'd think as long as you're cognizant of the orientation you could use the stripper for normal effects and use it for it's purpose when need be.

Consider the book "The art of switching decks" by Roberto Giobbi
So much to do, so little time . . .

I could do the effects with the Stripper, but I wanted to bring in some flourishes and normally when I do this with a Stripper the audience recognises reversed packets.

I suggest what Mr. Dean Dill ( & may he R.I.P.) came up with in his "Blizzard".

Confused, about: "... should have been..."? (Reads as: Past Tense) Sixten |

They are a lot more subtle than the regular ones. You can get them from Marty Grams (http://www.martinismagic.com/Products.html).
I feel more like I do now than I did before.

Perhaps it can be as simple as some basic choreography.
Straight loose deck and boxed strippers are in a jacket pocket. Boxed strippers come out....box goes pack to pocket....do stripper effects moving to a close...hand holding strippers goes in pocket to get the box....leaves strippers in pocket, removing straight deck and box....start putting deck away....then pause, "Ok, I'll do one more"...go in to your straight deck stuff. Done casually, it may not have to be much more complicated than that. |

Look into "The Cooler".
It's a popular deck switching device. Search for it in the Café. It was a real hot item a few years ago.

The book from Roberto Giobbi is a master course. You don't need anything else.

If your looking on the gimmicked side, look at cold case, it takes some practice, but if you use Danial Madison's switch with it its great. You might want to look into flash deck switch by Shin Lim, but I've heard a lot of bad things about it. Hope this helps!
