I performed Tequila Hustler at a paid gig twice last night and it is without a doubt the best coin in hand routine I have personally used. It is staying in my walkabout sets, permanently.
The clientele were a good bunch of bright folk and it fooled them both times. I recommend this effect. Joel.

Good to hear Joel. Method is half of it. The other half is performance skill and personality, which you obviously have in spades.

That's great to hear Joel, I've done it a number of times for friends and family, but have not yet tested it out on a paid audience... did you perform the basic routine or some other?

I performed the basic routine. It's excellent. Which routine are you enjoying the most?
Personally I'm enjoying the basic, it's simplicity to follow the plot makes it very strong. Joel.

The straightforward basic routine fits well with my style of magic and can fit into a nice set easily without interrupting the flow. I'm doing a company Christmas party this weekend and I'm going to give it a try and see how it flies. Can't really see it going badly. This was definitely a nice addition and something I really haven't done in the past. |

It's great. I love it. Perfect impromptu quick trick. But, for a paid gig, I'll stick to sixth sense. Being able to repeat the effect 3 or 4 times for the same spec is what elevates the routine above just a 50/50 guess. But of course, you're more than entitled to wholly disagree with me

I'm just planning on using "TH" as a quick, fun (hopefully), offbeat effect during a set that I do that I think will fit in nicely without much work or carrying more "stuff"... I'm looking at it as a small piece of the whole, not making it a show piece. |

If this is presented the way it should, the last thing on people's minds is that it is a 50-50 selection.
