I am new to illusions. There are so many plans available and ready build illusions available.
For eg. If I like to perform the bo staff illusion, is there any copyright issue for buying and performing it. Please throw some light on it.

Bo Staff is created by Jim Steinmeyer. You are not allowed to build it. For an authorized builder (Roy Shank or Bill Smith) you can contact Jim Steinmeyer.
You can search for the illusions and rights here. Many illusions are discussed. You can also have a first look at: http://mrbones.zigmont.com/backstageZig.htm and here: http://www.illusionrepository.com/ or: Feel free to ask here. |

How would one be sure that a set of Osborne plans purchased would include the rights to build/perform the illusion? If they were purchased directly from Osborne Illusion Systems, would you be fine?

I have never read that statement posted above about Mr. Paul Osborne illusion plans. See he just typed that statement and gave no proof or reference to his statement. Mr. Osborne has made comedy illusion plans suitable for framing, as a joke illusion plans, with false information. Of course these would be as intended, and not exposure of illusion secrets. Then some people think there are not rights allowed by anyone, to be given. Personally, I believe if you purchase plans, and build it according to the plans, then the only thing you cannot do is sell the illusion as an original famous illusion. |

Or we could all be as rich as Copperfield and buy EVERY single magic available.
