The family is bugging me for a Christmas list. They're tired of me usual response of:
1. Alcohol 2. Socks 3. Anything edible So guess I'll throw in a few book titles...any recommendations? I like most genres, but of late have enjoyed biographies and historical novels. Please let me know anything good you've read. Thanks

Pete Townsends' autobiography is an excellent read, if you like "The Who". It's a couple of years old, but I've read it twice.

Run down the list of this year's Hugo winners. There's some good ones there.

The Inconvenient Indian: A Curious Account of Native People in North America Hardcover by Thomas King.
One of the best books I've read in a long time. King is funny but geez he'll also make you uncomfortable. A great read.

If you like fantasy, anything by Terry Pratchet or any of Spider Robinson's "Callahan's" series.

11/22/63 by Stephen King. An amazing story and serious page-turner. I think it's the best he's done. In my opinion you don't need to be a King fan to like this book. Everyone I've talked to who has read it, enjoyed it.

My neighbor rang my doorbell at 2:30 a.m. this morning, can you believe that, 2:30 a.m.!? Lucky for him I was still up playing my drums. |

I second Dick's book! It's a great read. It's called: Everything I Own Has A Handle Or Wheels, Dick Oslund, The Road Scholar.
