So I was thinking what 5 Christmas movies do you think are the best. Obviously this is totally opinion but I am curios what people think.
1. A Christmas story, this is just such a perfect movie. 2. Christmas Vacation, chevy chase was so great as Clark W. Griswald 3. Trading Places, this is actually a Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years movie. 4. Gremlins, how can you not love it. 5. Scrooged, Bill Murray nuff said. |

A Christmas Carol, AKA Scrooge, with Alastair Sim (1951).
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

While not a great movie, the scene in which Jaclyn Smith realizes that Art Carney is actually Santa can bring a tear to your eye. I wouldn't have chosen any of the Op's titles, but I'm guessing that I'm probably a lot older than he. In addition to It's A Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street, I'd add The Bishop's Wife. |

In my humble opinion, the two best movie versions of A Christmas Carol star, respectively,
The TV movie version staring Mr. Magoo is also quite good. |

Although not completely about Christmas, these have strong Christmas themes within and both are exceptional films:
1. Holiday Inn 2. Meet Me In St. Louis

I love Christmas Story, Bad Santa, and Elf.

I love and watch "The Cheaters" (1945) every year. It's the best Christmas movie you never heard of.
