Can someone give me a review of their video and set of lecture notes?
If you could please write your own review that would be much more helpful. Thank you |

Yes, a great video. Buy the lecture notes also. A lot more info in them. A little harder to learn stuff from cause u cant visualize it but still worth it. And worth the price as well. BUt i warn! Do not buy unless you like to practice and you arent going to go "screw this, too hard, next video." You'll be wasting your money. U work at it for hours and get it down like they have it.

Before u get the buck bros. vid. I would suggest starting of with Brian Tudor's vid. It helped me out a lot when i started pasteboard animations from the buck bros.
NuMiVentMagic, can you do all the cuts off of pasteboard animations? |

Well, I have very mixed feelings about this tape. The Buck brothers are INCREDIBLY skilled and have created some fantastic flourishes. However the quality of production is very poor. This was shot with one home video camera. Dan and Dave are not teachers and do not do a very good job of explanation, but if you are dedicated to learning these things, you can, with much effort, learn some astonishing flourishes from the tape.
Another criticism: These multiple packet cut things are hard enough to learn at best. It would have been so very helpful if they had gotten the camera around in back and showed the moves from the performer's vantage point. Watching from the front, the left/right reversal makes it awfully hard to follow. Finally, be aware that you're buying an awfully short tape. Running time is 20 minutes.
