"The Desperate Hours" and "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre". 2 of my favorite Bogart films.

Forgot to mention The Man Who Would Be King. As the blurb says: "A 1975 film adapted from the Rudyard Kipling short story of the same title. It was adapted and directed by John Huston and starred Sean Connery, Michael Caine, Saeed Jaffrey, and Christopher Plummer as Kipling. The film follows two rogue ex-non-commissioned officers of the Indian Army who set off from late 19th-century British India in search of adventure and end up as kings of Kafiristan."
A very unique, funny and suspenseful story.

In Which We Serve (1942) is a powerful wartime movie and character study, written by and starring Noel Coward.
"This story of a ship, the British destroyer HMS Torrin, is told in flash backs by survivors as they cling to a life raft." |

Back to 1984, I was reminded of this film in a recent "Mysteries of the Castle" episode: Amadeus, starring Tom Hulce in the title role. Great movie!
What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?
My neighbor rang my doorbell at 2:30 a.m. this morning, can you believe that, 2:30 a.m.!? Lucky for him I was still up playing my drums. |
