This week, The Magic Word delivers a scoop on the hard news in our community...Randy Pitchford is the new owner of Genii Magazine.
Randy Pitchford, nephew of Richard Valentine Pitchford (aka "Cardini"), acquired much of the Cardini collection in the 2013 Potter & Potter auction and used much of it to help build the museum inside the Magic Castle. Randy is also building a home to rival Brookledge, the Larsen home in Los Angeles, California. He even plans to host events not unlike the "Brookledge Follies" on a regular basis. Randy is a fascinating magician and businessman having been a regular in the old days of the Castle (he was even married there) and later went on to co-found Gearbox Software and is now the CEO and President. He recently entered into a deal to purchase Genii Magazine from Richard Kaufman. You can watch some videos, see some photos, read the blog, enter the new contest, listen to the podcast and download the MP3 file at: http://themagicwordpodcast.com/scottwell......itchford And congratulations to last week's winner of the Outerbridge Lecture Bundle...Richard Tremblay.
