After I do the change to the $100, If they bring it up, with a a tongue in cheek attitude and a smile, I always say that they are not the first person to ask me this, and while I could simple make more, I have to pay taxes on the difference, this aint Bitcoin

I usually tell them that I need to keep the money (tongue in cheek) as I would need it for the next amazing feat of magic that I am going to do.
For those who believe, no explanation is necessary; for those who do not believe, no explanation will suffice.

Years ago I used to have a mock pre-recorded phone call to the Police that we would play via the sound system. I'd just take out my mobile and pretend to dial and hold it to the mic. It used to end with the responder saying "Don't worry sir help is on its way." The next audio clip was the sound of a robot entering the building then the ED-209 from RoboCop saying "You have 30 seconds to comply. (Obviously I recorded my own voice saying this to avoid copyright issues.)
It'd have to be an audience of over 40's now for anyone to get it . |
