Not sure how accurate this is, but it was reported on Entertainment Tonight:
ROY SPEAKS: Illusionist ROY HORN has reportedly given his first interview since being seriously injured by a white tiger in October. The German magazine Bunte claims to have spoken to the star and they report that Horn is doing much better. Horn has reportedly been working hard with a physical therapist, the same one who helped CHRISTOPHER REEVE after his accident. A quote in the article attributed to Roy claims he said, "I had two feet in the grave, but now I'm doing better." ONCE AGAIN, I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE OR NOT, BUT IT IS BEING REPORTED.

I also read the article about Roy Horn. Hope it's true that he is doing better. He brought joy to many with their show.

It could very well be true. The only official comment was a telephone conversation did happen. What that exactly means is anyone's guess. They could have talked to anyone really, from Roy himself to a housekeeper. From what it sounds like though it was a short conversation with Roy.
