Hello,
I'm new here in the Magic Café and want to ask something. I've bought Nefesch's "Vetruvian Man" but I don't like the way the cards must be marked by yourself. I think the spectator will definitly see that the marking is present. Does anyone of you have an idee of how the cards can be marked on a better way ?? Thanks in advance DMT |

Use the one where you also draw multiple lines on the si** , it'll conceal everything well . I've not been caught once .

Can anyone comment on the quality of the Vetruvian Man? Do things align perfectly or is it Mona Lisa all over again?

DMT,
One more thought: Only make a single mark (or single unmarked spot) on each card, but in different locations. KJ |

DMT,
Let me clarify: You would need to make a single mark in the appropriate locations on each card, but in different locations. I hope that makes sense without giving away the secret. KJ |

1KJ that is a great idea. That would really hide the marking system. I have been caught with the set up as described in explanation. Very nice, I will use

I've got regular use for this one at gigs , my Mona's worth it even in its disabled condition . I'll take the Vitruvian Man next .

However, according to my assumption, he couldn't send me the package the way (the set of cards inside a box and the spongy white material that John C is referring to) it is described by all of you who have already purchased OPUS. That's probably why I received a simple, white letter envelope which had only the set of the five cards inside, posted from Rome. Unfortunately Nefesch probably forgot to include the password in order for me to have access to the online instructional video which can be accessed only via Murphys' website. So, I have now five cards (one is the prediction) of the VITRUVIAN MAN without knowing what to do with them. I sent him two successive emails so far; however I haven't gotten any response from Nefesch, yet. I'd really much appreciate if someone of you who knows the password, would be so kind to send me a PM. To avoid any prior misundestanding or misinterpretation, I can provide proof of purchase, since I ordered OPUS from Nefesch's website and paid via PAYPAL. Unfortunately, I don't know how to copy and then paste the relevant PAYPAL receipt from my Inbox on a post or PM here in the Magic Café. Any technical advice by any of you would be well appreciated so I can have access to online video instructions, while I'll be waiting for Nefesch to clarify this issue by sending me the password (no sign of him so far). Hope I didn't make you feel bored to death with this email but I just want to use as soon as possible what I paid for. As of the cards, they're perfectly aligned and their quality is great! They also look very durable and it seems that they'll last for a very long time, if treated well. Thank you in advance. Warmest regards, Andrew K.

Hi guys,
Nefesch contacted me a few hours ago and sent me the corresponding password. So, there is no need for any help although I'm sure that it was a matter of time until someone of you would have shown up to PM me in order to settle the password issue. Andrew K.

I bought the original Opus many months ago (Monalisa without eye).
And I have been absolutely happy with it. In my opinion this is the best thing I have bought in years. It is truly a worker. I lost somewhere one of the pieces of my monalisa :-( So I had to reorder it. I had bought the original from Penguin Magic. (the one without eye) This time, I ordered directly from Nefesch's store; and I decided to get BOTH versions (Vetruvian man and Monalisa). I received them today! And they are looking awesome!!! I took some pictures of both versions, and I am attaching them to this post. The Vetruvian man is simply PERFECT, not an imperfection at all! The monalisa is almost perfect (it has a small -almost unnoticeable - tiny, thin black line on top of the bottom right card (it is truly nothing, but I had to point at it to be absolutely fair). This time the monalisa aligns 100% perfect, it has both eyes absolutely stylish and is looking better than ever! I am happy with both of them, and as I said I am using them EVERYDAY. See pictures attached. I can nothing but highly recommend it. Jack the Mindmesser Click here to view attached image. |

Thanks for posting mindmesser. I too have the original one and also love it. I really don't see any problem with the way it was printed. I think it is pretty normal for an image that is cut in four and trimmed as a card to not be perfect.
I appreciate your posting the newer photo. It looks like the Mona Lisa image has been improved. Is that right? KJ |

Thank you all for providing those reviews. Has it been confirmed that the new stock have the missing-eye printing problem solved?
I am interested in ordering one if so. Any retailer could help check and confirm about this? Thanks. |

I've just finished a review on what I presume is new stock and the eye problem is not there - to my eyes I did think the bottom quarter looked a slightly different shade to the rest - but I honestly don't think this is noticable in normal use. This one has really grown on me - after being somewhat baffled by the explanation the first time! You can read my full review here: http://www.bicycle-cards.co.uk/2018/08/1......-review/

I recently picked this up. I had to get my head round the working but it was well worth it.
The effect is a great change from the norm: different, intriguing and with good spectator input. Very highly recommended. Neil |

I have been practicing Opus for a little while now and showed it to a 93 year old friend.
Despite her age, this lady is incredibly sharp mentally and, although she does not know about the methods used by mentalists, even correctly said that a certain effect I did must use electronics. She describes what I do as 'entertaining codswallop!' I showed her Opus yesterday and she genuinely liked it, saying it was the best thing I have ever shown her - and I have shown her a lot. This is great praise indeed. |
