This one of a pair of "no-tech" effects that will soon be available on my site. Enjoy.

Looks very promising. Wish the trailer had audio.

This trick is now available at Murphy's Magic. My first impression is that I do not actually understand what is going on in the highly-edited trailer. An uncut performance will be appreciated and will make me a wise purchase.

Yes, I'd like to know more about it too before investing 40 bucks. Seeing the video it could be a great or a very cheap trick, all or nearly all the cards could be the same etc. So I'd gladly hear more info.

More info needed - but I kind of like the premise.. you get an idea of the effect - but let's be honest from the vide the one on one show for the spectator is not great .... the guy just looks at the card and the sofa whilst the mentalist is "acting" .... er I mean reading the man's mind. Not 100% sure.

Hmmmm, lots of questions but no response from the Creator who started this thread back in May of last year! That speaks volumes.

He was busy at a convention. So, travel time plus convention time.

Hello all. "Sponge" is correct. I just arrive back from a convention (ECSS3 - outstanding, BTW) and checking the Café was not on my radar while away. I appreciate the comments here though. My intention in not adding sound on the demo was to make the presentation a little more abstract and to help the viewer realize that you, the viewers of the video, are the audience. In other words, the effect was not done for my long suffering assistant Derek, whom you saw with me in the clip, it was for you. I see that was lost in translation and I will shoot another version.
The premise in my presentation is one of "creative visualization": the participant visualizes five everyday objects lined up in one of 120 different possible ways and the performer makes it happen; the performer is instrument of the participant's vision. The stack of black backed photos are shown to represent 40 of the possible 120 permutations. The stack is cut several times by the performer to show how they are different; one is cut to at random by the participant and then he/she visualizes the random order occurring; it becomes real. Thanks for the feed back, everyone. All the best, Christopher |

Dear Mr. Taylor,
I think that there is honetly no reason to feel either 'guilty' or ashamed in any way if you would have said in public that I was the one who sent an email to your official website today, hence your prompt response here in the Cafi, I guess. As you already know I kindly asked you to chime in here in order to shed some light on what exactly your new effect is in terms of plot, performance, the usage of the black backed cards, etc. by posting a more detailed message here, which would be well appreciated by any who's interested in purchasing your new release. I can hardly wait you to post the new unedited video footage of the effect, performed this time with audio. I hope that your new release will meet my criteria which means that in that case, I'm sold. Wish you prosperous sales. Kindest regards, Andrew K.

Maybe you should start a new thread on the 'Latest and Greatest' topic,
which is usually the first place that is visited by most members of the Cafi whenever the log in. In this case they will notice immediately your new release. Just my thoughts. Kindest regards, Andrew K.

As per popular request, here is a recording of a full performance of the Line Up. It is unedited except for a camera angle change at one point to give a view of the faces of the photo-cards.

A big thank you for posting this new video trailer of a full performance.
I really much appreciate this. It seems pretty fair I think in order to make a clear decision and probably go for it Andrew K.
