Hate to burst your bubble Countrymaven now she just walks away when I start doing magic for people. She has seen my stuff 8,billion times. Remember The OLd SAYING Familiarity Breeds Contempt. It does not last long.

The point is that you got her and kept her happy for 41 years, hopefully. I never promised that she would be more and more
blown away by seeing your ten tricks billions of times. so the point is, magic got her to you. the rest of the romance is up to you dude. don't blame me. I think almost every magician has a family member who is not so entranced by our magic after so many times. we could say, magic got her hooked. keeping her in that magic state of love, in this imperfect world, is a work of divine power, not just trickery . hehe. |

Dear Eric,
you are first of all a scholar and a gentleman. also, since I am in Charleston, we must have a drink sometime in the future. but actually, this does not happen all the time. I am humble and am sincere in claiming why did this start happening to me when I was over 50? I have to admit I feel like 21 but I do not look like my avatar. some of the chicks I perform for, they look like a bunny, of the magazine type. so I am clueless as to why my magic would have that effect. all thumbs, yours truly |

To be honest, in a social setting like a night club/bar/restaraunt, coin magic seems to be more alluring to women than card tricks, IMHO. There is something inherently sexy about pulling out a shiny coin and doing miracles with it. I think from the spectator's point of view, it makes more sense to carry a coin in your pocket than a deck of cards, it lends a certain spontaneity to the effect.
I think if chicks are attracted to you after doing magic, it is most likely not the magic, but you, they are attracted to, with the magic helping of course. Spectators are ultimately more interested/invested in the person than the trick, I find. How many times have spectators interviewed us after performing wanting to know how we learned, why we learned, etc. etc. I've also seen creepy guys do magic and even though the effect is done very well, spectators don't want to stick around long. Interesting topic. |
