In the "It's Alive!" thread in this forum, I referred to a picture of Kevin James. I have a question about the effect that Eugene Burger wrote about Phil Goldstein (Max Maven) doing in the same book.
Apparently, Max Maven did a one-handed card effect in which at the end Eugene Burger thought of a card, couldn't find it in the deck, and Max pulls his other hand from his pocket with the thought of card. Has the effect ever been in print? I don't think I've seen it. Any help appreciated. Dave |

I wish I could do that effect also . Eugene replied that that tricl really "freaked " him out. I agree with Seance that would be a great one to learn.

Charlatan's Handbook contains a "one armed card trick," however since the book isn't in front of me I don't remember the exact effect, But I believe it is similar.

Try to find the effect, One Hand In My Pocket, by Mark Elsdon. It is his approach to this trick, although he does not claim it is THE method. It is very effective, however. Don't know if it is available anymore.
Also, there is an effect in Close Up Assassin (Richard Sanders), I believe, that can be adapted to this effect. Sandy |

There is a very simple way to do this that I've used before. It isn't pretty, but it is simple. PM me for the method.
